Dr. Greg Rasmussen discusses his involvement with conservation of African Painted Dogs and the current projects of Painted Dog Research Trust to help save this endangered species.

I finally got to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to meet up with the crew of the Painted Dog Research Trust. My first day I spent with Mr. Zulu and Mary who are the Educational Outreach Director and the Project Coordinator, respectively. Mr. Zulu teaches local children about the PDRT and their visions of being eco-friendly, sustainable and of course saving the endangered Painted Dogs of Africa. The mission of the Painted dog research trust is to both continue with research into the highly endangered painted Dog and build for the future of conservation by meaningfully incorporating Zimbabwean graduate students to build local capacity and tomorrow's conservationists. It was such a treat to spend the day with these children who were so engaged and interested in learning about the environment!
